In April, 2011 Nelles Insurance Solutions received The Salt Block Project’s Entrepreneur Recognition from Sweet Briar College & Virginia Lt. Governor Bill Bolling for showing sustained profitable growth in during an economic recession. And in November, 2011 Nelles Insurance Solutions was honored to be voted Best Insurance Agency with the Lynchburg News & Advance Readers’ Choice Award. Nelles Insurance Solutions was the only independent insurance agency to receive this recognition. Since then, we have been honored with numerous other awards.
Dave Nelles, the President and principal agent of Nelles Insurance Solutions, has been supporting clients in the insurance industry for over 20 years. Before starting Nelles Insurance Solutions, Dave was a commercial lines underwriting specialist for Nationwide Insurance, a Fortune 100 company. Dave has learned that you can’t grow a great business alone. Developing a strong network of personal and professional influences has been key to the success of his agency.
Dave was born and raised in Michigan, but gravity and the good graces of God carried Dave to the wonderful Commonwealth of Virginia where, by the Grace of God, he will stay. Dave moved to Lynchburg in 1993 to attend and graduate from Liberty University. Upon graduating in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree, he continued with his education by earning his Master’s Degree in 2000.
Dave married Lynchburg native Brandy Gryder in January 2000. Brandy is an amazing wife and mother to their teenage daughter, Ashley who is in high school at Liberty Christian Academy, in Lynchburg, VA.
